Our interactive seminar covers a broad range of topics to meet the greatest needs of our attendees including: legislative & reimbursement updates, CMS Final Rules for 2020 and beyond, physics & dosimetry, treatment management & delivery, ICD-10 coding, general & modality specific billing including SRS, SBRT, Brachytherapy, IMRT & IGRT, best practice standards, payer issues and compliance. The goal of the seminar is to teach participants techniques of proper charge capture, recognition of proper documentation and a full understanding of coding for radiation oncology. Attendees will learn how to bring their billing departments into full compliance.

We will discuss in detail the 2020 Final Rules for the new bundled payments and the alternative payment models (APMs) for the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS). These are the biggest changes for physician's billing since the 1992 resource based relative value system. We will provide examples and reimbursement spreadsheets to give the attendees an idea of what they can expect for reimbursement. We will also provide attendees with information on how to comment to CMS regarding these changes.

In honor of our friend and colleague, the late Carl R. Bogardus, Jr. M.D., two great companies, American Medical Accounting & Consulting (AMAC ®) and BMSi, come together one last time to present a dynamic 3 day seminar (16 full hours of instruction) on Radiation Oncology Coding & Billing, Documentation & Compliance. Hugh, III, MHA of American Medical Accounting and Consulting (AMAC ®) and the Principles of Billing, Coding & Compliance for Radiation Oncology by Carl. R. Bogardus, Jr., M.D. of BMSi. Both are specifically updated for the seminar and cover Medicare rules and regulations, current CPT coding, and many clinical examples.

The seminar content is beneficial for hospital and freestanding center managers and staff, nurses, physicians, administrators, billers and coders, therapists, physicists and dosimetrists, and anyone involved in the clinical and/or business aspects of radiation oncology management.

CEU certificates will be provided following the end of the final session. No partial credit will be awarded for attending less than the designated activity planned time. Those participants leaving before the end of the final session will not receive CEU certificates. Keep in mind, this is a stipulation from the accrediting entities not an AMAC ® rule.

  • If notice is received 60 days or more prior to seminar date, you may choose either a full refund or you may transfer to the 2020 Las Vegas Seminar.
  • If notice is received 59 – 30 days prior to seminar date, we will charge a 10% administrative fee. You may choose to receive the balance either as a refund or as a credit for the 2020 Las Vegas Seminar.
  • If notice is received 29 - 11 days prior to seminar date, we will charge a 25% administrative fee. You may choose to receive the balance either as a refund or as a credit for the 2020 Las Vegas Seminar.
  • If notice is received 10 – 4 days prior to seminar date, we will charge a 50% administrative fee. You may choose to receive the balance either as a refund or as a credit for the 2020 Las Vegas Seminar.
  • If notice is received less than 4 days prior to seminar date, we will charge a 100% administrative fee.
