Washington Update:
On July 2, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released its 2008 proposed policy changes and MPFS updates for physician’s services along with the proposed updates to the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) payment system for calendar years 2008 and 2009. Also published were the proposed changes to the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (HOPPS) with the proposed CY 2008 payment rates.
